Kanchenjunga
Trek Without Guide is something like Manaslu
Trek Without Guide as Kanchenjunga belongs to restricted region and one
cannot trek on their own in Kanchenjunga. In order to trek special restricted
permits are mandatory to be obtained along conservation area entry permit. It
is a month long trek with north and south base camp there are several places that
are very close to Tibet. Similarly infrastructure is very poor as there are
basic stone huts as teahouses and they are still temporary. However in some
part of trek there are satellite phone that works pretty well. Now a days
people seems interested for Kanchenjunga Trek as a result trail is somehow ok
and started to be marked.

Kanchenjunga
North Part is unstable in term of landslide as trail might change within one
night because of massive landslide and one need to prepare to find out
alternative trails. Living standard of people is out of imagination as they are
living below poverty line. Dal Bhat is the major dishes for both lunch and
dinner. Ghunsa is like capital on northern part with development on hydropower.
We can found number of good hotels on Ghunsa. People speak very broken Nepali where
even old age people don’t speak single Nepali word. It is recommended to carry
a tent along with you so that you can depend on teahouses for food whereas
accommodation on your tent which help to reduce big effort for camping and chances
of unavailability of room on lodges during peak season. Here is a link for my another blog about Manaslu Trek Without Guide
